Privacy Policy
This is a working draft. A final version will be reviewed by counsel before launch.
What we collect
Four Oaks, PLLC ("Four Oaks," "we," "us") collects two kinds of information:
- Engagement information: the tax, financial, and personal information clients provide us in the course of an engagement. This includes prior returns, organizers, K-1s, brokerage statements, and any other materials needed to complete the work.
- Website information: the name, email, phone number, and message you send us when you get in touch, and the standard server logs our web host keeps (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) for security and performance.
How we use it
Engagement information is used solely to deliver the services described in your engagement letter. Website information is used to respond to your inquiry and schedule a consultation. We do not sell information, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
How we protect it
Engagement documents are exchanged through encrypted links and a private upload page. Tax software, document storage, and email are provided by vendors that maintain SOC 2 or equivalent third-party security review. Access to client files is limited to the engagement partner and any staff specifically assigned to the engagement.
Service providers
We use outside service providers to deliver our work, including tax preparation and research software, document delivery and e-signature tools, and AI-assisted preparation and research tools. These providers process client information only to perform services for us, under confidentiality and security obligations. Where the law requires your consent before we share tax return information, we will ask for it in writing first.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not use analytics cookies, advertising trackers, or social-media pixels. If that changes, we will update this policy first.
Your choices
You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, request correction, or request deletion (subject to applicable record-retention requirements for tax engagements). To make a request, email TBD.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, for current clients, send a notice by email.
