Accessibility
We want this website to be usable by everyone, regardless of disability or device. We've built the site with that in mind, and we're committed to fixing what we miss.
What we've built in
- Standards-aware HTML with semantic landmarks, headings, and lists.
- Color contrast that meets or exceeds WCAG 2.1 AA on text and primary controls.
- Keyboard navigation for every interactive element, including the menu, the practice-area selector, the FAQ, and pop-up dialogs, with visible focus outlines.
- A skip link that jumps past the navigation to the main content.
- Alt text on meaningful images; decorative images marked appropriately.
- Reduced-motion support: animations are disabled if your operating system requests it.
- Responsive layout that scales without horizontal scrolling down to 320 pixels of width.
What we're still working on
Accessibility is a process, not a state. Areas we're aware of and improving:
- Testing with screen readers across browsers and devices.
- Text alternatives for any video or downloadable documents we add.
