Four Oaks, the mark
The mark

One oak.
Four partners.

Look closely: our mark is a single oak whose canopy and trunk form the numeral four. One firm, rooted, grounded, deliberate, with four partners holding it up. We work as one bench, not four silos, and every partner is fully versed in every part of the practice.

No matter which door you walk through (a return, a planning question, a notice, an estate), you get the full firm. And the partner you start with stays with you.

Common questions

Before you
pick up
the phone.

The questions we hear most often from prospective clients. If yours isn't here, ask us on your first call.

Are you taking new clients?
Yes. We take on a small number of new engagements at a time, and we'd rather say no to a poor fit than say yes to one. A first call is the easiest way to find out.
Can we work with you remotely if we're not in Tennessee?
Yes. We exchange documents through encrypted links and a private upload page, conduct meetings by video, and handle multi-state filings across the country. Our home is the Memphis area, but the work isn't location-bound.
What does the process look like from first call to filed return?
Three things in order: a 30-minute conversation, an honest fit-or-no-fit decision, and from there, the engagement cadence that suits your year. Most planning clients meet with us quarterly. Most tax-only clients hear from us in winter, spring, and fall.
How do you handle prior-year returns from our old preparer?
Standard practice. We review the last two or three filed returns as part of onboarding, looking for missed elections, carryforward errors, or planning opportunities the previous preparer didn't surface. If we find something worth fixing, we'll discuss whether to amend before doing any work.
What industries or client types do you serve?
Owner-operated businesses, physicians and dental practices, professional services firms, real-estate investors, high-net-worth families, equity-compensated professionals, estates and trustees, pre-retirees and recent retirees, and individuals with a complex year. See the full picture on our Who We Serve page.

Encrypted Document Exchange

Returns, K-1s, and statements move through encrypted links and a private upload page. No email attachments for sensitive files.

SOC-Aligned Vendors

Tax software, document delivery, and storage all run on vendors with SOC 2 reports, which we review annually.

Need-to-Know, Always
